The Arc Spring Fundraiser, formally known as the Wal-Mart Fundraiser, usually takes place in March or April, * Proceeds from the event benefit Arc’s Therapeutic Recreation Programs such as the Summer Day Camps for Students.
Like The Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Drive, volunteers would two-hour shifts in front of local retail outlets, exchanging candy for donations to The Arc. Also like the KoC Drive, high school volunteers who participate are eligible to be excused from a day at school each Spring to assist at the Special Olympics Athletics Events.
